The Great Glen Way
The Great Glen Way Long Distance Walk
The Great Glen Way is one of Scotlands Great Trails which travels through some of Scotlands most unforgettable spots, such as Loch Ness and Loch Lochy. The route passes through a variety of walking terrain, such as quiet forest trails, heather-clad Scottish Hills, and canal towpaths. This coast-to-coast walk takes you from its starting point – the historical Fort William, towards Inverness. You will follow the shores of Loch Lochy and Loch ness, with dramatic views of the Glen. As you continue, you will join the Caledonian Canal as it traverses the Highlands from Scotlands west to east coast. The route is well signposted and maintained making for some enjoyable walking one of the UK’s finest long distance trails.
